Day Nine

Saturday. I love Saturdays. But today I had to get up and go to a 9 am rehearsal. I woke up late. I didn't have time to shower. And my shoulder was killing me! I must have pulled something when I was working out yesterday. It was still and sore. Very sore. I'm getting old I guess.

Rehearsal was good, except for the fact that I was in pain. It's hard to play the flute with a sore shoulder.

So I came home, instead of going to lunch like I thought I would. I took some medicine. Lots of it. And hit the bed. Later I took a bath, which I haven't done in ages. I got the water as hot as possible, and soaked in it.

It felt a little better. It only hurt when I moved it instead of all the time. I wanted to go to a concert tonight, so I was glad to be feeling a little better.

Our high school, the one I attended and the one my kids attended, has a 9/11 Memorial Concert. A former band member, who played in the band when I was there, was in the second plane that hit the WTC. And every year we commemorate with a Max Hammond Concert. This year, one of our famous alumni came as a guest performer. Harry Watters, a friend of mine, is a member of the Army Brass Quintet and the Army Blues Band. He's so good. It was cool to see him come back and play with the band. The whole concert was so inspirational!
