Footloose, but not Fancy Free

Where have I been? Tied down to Footloose rehersals. Yes, another musical. This year our high school is putting on Footloose, the musical. It's similar to the movie, just not set in Lehi. :-) And no Kevin Bacon. The main characters are quite good, which makes it bearable to watch. The plot is just not one of my favorites.

I do enjoy working with the high school kids. I am in charge of make-up and get to do some aging, a cop with a mustache, and a black eye/arm scrape.

It's also fun to hang with kid #3. He's playing percussion in the orchestra pit. He plays the congas, tambourine, wood blocks, vibraphone, triangle and that cool windchime thing.

We've had two dress rehersals, and did one school performance today. We have another school performance tomorrow (with a call time of 6:45 am!-- no vacation from seminary time) and opening night is Thursday.

It's fun! So, I'm cuttin' footloose....
