Because My Daughter Said So

I've been informed that it is time to update my blog. Because my daughter said so, and sometimes that is enough.

I've been trying to cut down on superfluous activities in my life and just focus on what is the most important. Or what is the least stressful. Sometimes it is hard to not have the most important be the most stressful, but I'm working on balance.

Take today for instance. In Western Civ, we have eight homework assignments, out of which we have to do six. I have completed four already, and was working on number five this past week. Okay, today. I waited until today, the day before it is due. Then I decided, heck, I don't HAVE to do this one. It's the hard assignment with six two-paragraph essay answers. So I will let it go willingly, and do the next one. Ah. See, that was easy. I don't have to do everything!

I can go get my jammies on, get out my music theory homework that I DO have to do, and maybe get to bed early tonight!

In other news...
-Bryan is still alive somewhere down in T-Town. Haven't heard from him in awhile. He did call once to determine exactly what is a Chimichanga.
-Joshua made the school musical, "Kiss Me Kate". The question on everybody's mind now is "will he have to wear tights?"
-Lindsay is so close to walking, last we heard.

Stress

All work and no play make Jacqui a dull, and stressed out girl.

Case in point. SCHOOL=STRESS=ANXIETY=FAST HEARTBEAT=worried doctor=go to the emergency room for an EKG.

But I'm fine. EKG was normal. Well, semi-normal. Have I ever been completely normal???

wow, time flies

I just realized it's been ten days since I last blogged. I feel guilty for blogging when I have homework looming over my head. But, by golly, I'm sick and tired of the French Revolution right now I'm ready to start my own Reign of Terror. I have a midterm on Friday that will consist mainly of identifications and essays. I'm so not looking forward to it.

I also have an essay due on Monday. I'm glad it was extended (it was due on Friday) but I'm not going to enjoy having to work on it over the weekend. Especially since Becca et al will be here.

Thursday night is the Grissom Huntsville game. I love going to that game, but this year I have to go to a scholarship recipient reception. I'm required to go. Like the dean says he will personally pick us up and take us if we don't have a ride. I guess I better be there. I don't want to appear ungrateful for my scholarships. But darn it all, I want to go to the game. And then there's the midterm the next morning that I should be studying for. What to do!?!

In other news, it's nice to live in a house with elves. I wake up in the morning and the laundry's magically been done. I come home from school and groceries are in the fridge. Nice. Sometimes my car automatically gets filled up with gas. It's great!
