Over 15,000 Served

I just noticed that I broke the 15,000 mark. Not bad for a run-down, out of date blog. I know somebody from one of my classes who is just amazed that I have a blog, and that anybody in the whole world can come and read my blog. "It is such an invasion of privacy." I don't think of it that way. Nobody really reads my blog except people I know. I only have one regular who I don't have a clue who it is, but other than that who cares. It's not like I put personal secrets on here.

Blogging serves its purpose in this family of mine. I like it. I like to read blogs, and I like to write blogs. But since I've been in school full time, writing on my blog has taken a backseat to writing essays and research papers. I have discovered that I really like to write, and that I'm not half bad at it. My English teacher said I have a gift for writing. That made my day, made my semester!

The upcoming semester is basically the same type of classes as last semester. Brit Lit, Western Civ 1, Theory III, lessons, Wind Ensemble. One hour less than last semester. Think that will help any? I'm trying hard not to stress too much about it. But stress pays off. I'm now officially an honor scholar. 4.0. I worked too hard for that, but I'm still very proud of it. Not to brag or anything. ;-)

The trouble with being so *into* school is now that I'm free from the stresses of classes, I don't want to do anything. I want to chill, to vegetate. I want to watch movies. I want to read for fun. I want to blog and scrapbook. But Christmas is calling. I haven't sent cards, haven't really decorated. Haven't baked, haven't finished shopping. I really hope everybody understands... Maybe I can pull it together. After all, I have four days left!

You'd Think

You'd think I would have more free time to blog now that I'm free from school commitments. Well, I AM Blogging right this very second!

I finished my papers, my juries, and my finals. It feels so good. And I got my grades. That felt great!

Then I jumped into *Best Christmas Pageant Ever* mode. Joshua was in this play and I was doing the make-up for it. Then I had to do the Sym Camp for Challenger Middle School. And now Christmas parties to go to, UAH Graduation to play for, the Living Christmas Tree to go see... oh the list never ends.

And here it is December 15, 10 days until Christmas, and I haven't sent out Christmas cards, written the Christmas letter, or even decorated my house for Christmas. My husband finally put up the trees, but they sit there naked and undecorated. My village is in the box, and I can't park in the garage because of all the Christmas boxes we pulled down from the attic.

I found out my sister is coming to visit. Now that is motivation to get the house ready! Later... Got to go put up decorations!

Finals Week

I can't believe how fast this semester has gone by. Full-time studenthood makes the time fly. Not that I was having fun. Actually it was fun. I guess it was fun mixed with stress.

I was telling my youngest today how I got a 97 on my Western Civ research paper. His comment: "Well, I guess stress pays off!"

Yeah.

Two more finals and I will be free for a month.

And Christmas is calling.
